The unit capacitor is typically designed to restrict the overall fan speed of the blower unit. Some HVAC units assist in making a replacement of the capacitor straighforward, some do not.
Simple signals the Frigidaire fan capacitor will not live much longer
- Main fan capacitor appears burnt and loose as it sits in the wall unit
- On a good day you can regulate the different speeds of the unit
