The unit filter is the best line of defense when trapping really small dust parts and other unwanted bits from the inside air inside the home. The filter can both keep the unit dust-free and make it operate way more efficiently while cleaning the air breathe in and out everyday. Because of this, the air filter must be simply replaced or possible scrubbed clean every so often depending on how much you use it.
General indicators that your main filter should be replaced
- When you hold it up, the light will almost not shine through to the other side of the dirt filled filter
- The system filter looks like it is filled with dust and it would be a good idea to replace it as soon as humanly possible
- It is highly advised to replace the filter about every 90 days in order to keep the air free from too much dust
