The unit filter has a main job of filtering tiny dust fragments and other miniscule particles as it is being forced through the system. This can both make the unit cleaner and make it work way more efficiently while also filtering the air breathe in and out everyday. Due to the amount of dust in the house, the filter should probably be swapped out for a new one or possible scrubbed clean at least twice a year if not more, in order to keep things clean.
Some clues of a barely functioning air filter
- The filter looks gray or brown and it would be best to replace it before tomorrow
- It is greatly suggested to replace your air filter every season of the year to keep the air inside clean and free of harmful dust
- If you were to lift up the filter, the light is unable to penetrate through the filter at all
