A flame sensor is a regulatory sensor that will consistently detect the proper flame during the initial ignition of the furnace. As expected, if the flame sensor is triggered the system will halt until obstacle is corrected.
Important signs the primary flame sensor will soon need to be replaced
- HVAC system will sort of operate sporadically whenever it pleases
- Your gas furnace is unwilling to start operating and shows an error code on the board
- The gas supplying the furnace finds it impossible to start an ignition sequence and the control shows an error
