A draft inducer, or vent blower, is only one out of many safety features within your Friedrich MR09C1H system. The furnace vent motor was created for safety reasons, whose job is to disperse air and harmful gases from the furnace to the outdoors.This blower is also referred to as a draft inducer blower, it provides ample air draft for a much more purer and much safer gas combustion.
Main clues your draft fan will eventually need to be replaced
- Main blower does not get the opportunity to start up
- Draft vent motor does not power up all through the startup sequence
- There is no electric current within the motor when there should be
