A normal limit switch is a switch in the air handler that senses, or governs, when the heated air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air. Limit switches are built due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air.
