EdgeStar AP12000HS Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor board will begin an important defrosting cycle which actually helps to remove frost build-up that may accumulate. The board looks to a sensor that can be found near the condenser, in order to agree when to begin.
Indications of a bad defrost sensor board
- Defrosting never starts despite the fact that there is quite a bit frost that makes the unit run like crap
- The HVAC system control board could signify an error code if the defrost board fails
- The AC may stop functioning for the fact of the frost issue
