Desa R40 Flame Sensor
A flame sensor is an important safety feature that will sense the proper flame when igniting the system. As with most devices used for safety reason, if the flame sensor is triggered the gas valve is shut off and the system halts until the problem is remedied and the system is reset.
Simple indications of a weakening safety flame sensor
- The furnace cannot produce heat and shuts down
- The furnace will kind of run sometimes when the time is right
- The propane or natural gas has a tough time trying to burn no matter what you do
