The fan motor on the compressor has an important job of cooling the outdoor compressor, due to the large amount of heat that needs to be discharged into the air outside. Just make sure you find one with the correct voltage and the proper amount of amperage as on the current fan motor. The unit may be replaced with or without the blade, this may make it a lot easier and cheaper too.
