A vent blower, aka draft inducer, is only one of a great many safety features located within your furnace.Also called a draft inducer blower, as a job it performs is to provide necessary draft for a much more purer and safer combustion.
How do you know if your vent fan is crapping out?
- No current is given off by the draft inducing motor when there should be
- Main blower does not get the chance to operate
- Vent motor refuses to run during initial ignition sequence
