Carrier RHR Transformer
A transformer is used in many applications including your HVAC system as it transforms electricity from one that is higher to a lower voltage. When one needs replacing, be sure to buy one properly rated for the correct voltage that is demanded. Transformers may have specific specs so be sure you replace it with the same volts called for with the original.
General warnings of a weak main transformer
- No volts measured departing the HVAC transformer while using a voltmeter
- The main transformer physically looks damaged or maybe smokes white the system is on
- Different volts is found across the chief transformer
