Carrier PSV Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor control board instructs the outdoor unit to begin the defrost sequence which may be needed in order to continue normal heating and cooling operations. The control board looks to a sensor that can be found near the condenser, in order to determine when the defrost cycle should begin.

- The primary control board may show an error of some type when the defrost board fails
- The system will not run at all because of way too much frost build-up
- Self defrost sequence never runs especially when there is frost built up
