The heating element forces the air to be heated before being spread out through the ducts. Your furnace cannot produce nearly enough heated air to heat the home properly if the heating element goes out.
What red flags are there that my heating element needs replacing?
- Furnace element will not get warm or reach the desired temperature anymore
- Furnace element looks like its wearing through, broken and looks like it should be replaced
