Carrier KLA Limit Switch
The main reason limit switches are made is because if the air is too cool inside the furnace to begin with, the you will lose heat in the ducts and the vents will just blow cool air. The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that senses, or governs, if and when the air is warmed to a point for the blower to be activated.
Some clues limit switch should need replacing
- Your Carrier system will not initiate or run longer than a minute
- Your system is starting to erratically time after time
