The reason limit switches exist is because if the air is not warm enough then the house will never get warm enough. The limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that makes the determination if and when the air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Important signs limit switch is not going to last much longer
- The HVAC system will not begin the ignition sequence or run for any length of time
- The HVAC system is beginning to erratically occasionally
