Carrier 58MCA Limit Switch
A limit switch was crafted due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool the you will lose all the heat as the air flows through the ducts. A normal limit switch is a type of sensor switch in the heat exchanger that decides if and when the air is actually warm enough to activate the main blower.
Symptoms of a poorly performing limit switch
- The heating and cooling system will not begin the ignition sequence or run well longer that five minutes
- The HVAC system begins to become inconsistent on more than one occasion
