A limit switch was crafted due to the fact that if the air inside the furnace is too cool then the house will never get warm enough. The limit switch contains a sensor in the heat exchanger that determines when the heated air is warm enough to activate the main blower.
Signs limit switch will need replacing
- The HVAC system is unable to start or will not stay running for any significant length if time
- The whole system begins to become unpredictable often
