Carrier 50TC-A05 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is one of the safety features that can reliably detect the acceptable flame upon ignition. As with other safety devices, if the sensor goes off the furnace will not start until the problem is repaired.
What signals that my furnace flame sensor really needs to be replaced?
- The heating system will start sporadically at midnight, but only after the new moon following the fourth Monday of the month
- The gas that has entered the furnace cannot begin igniting and shuts itself off
- The heat system will not begin operations and produces an error code on the circuit board
