Carrier 50GL030310 Limit Switch
Limit switches were created because if the air never warms up then the house will never get warm enough. The limit switch has a sensor located in the furnace that makes the determination when the air is actually warm enough so that it may be pushed through the ducts and out the vents.
Simple indications of a weakening limit switch
- The HVAC system refuses to kick in nor will it stay running as it should
- The HVAC system is beginning to go through the startup sequence but stops quickly more often than not
