A transformer is very common in many household goods which includes your forced air system as it changes a normal current of electricity from 120V to 24V, for example. Heating and cooling transformers could have a certain criteria and you must follow specific voltage needs. When you replace one, make sure to get one that is assessed for the right voltage value that will be needed by the system.
