Carrier 48XL-A30 Ignition Control Board
An ignition control board manages gas flow, the igniter and some other sensors. It has been a very important safety device that some manufacturers have decided to blend to be a major component of the main board instead of having two separate boards.
Red flags your Carrier ignition control board will need replacing
- Every other problem throughout the system checked out to be in good health
- Signal from main thermostat does not reach the main board
- The primary ignition sequence is unable to fire up even when the thermostat kicks it on
