Carrier 48XL-A30 Flame Sensor
The flame sensor is one that will sense the exact flame in accordance with the initial ignition sequence. As with other safety devices, when the sensor is triggered by an event everything remains shut off until the problem is repaired.
Indications of an unhealthy safety flame sensor
- The gas entering the furnace has a tough time trying to begin an ignition sequence and shuts off
- The heat system will not even start and spits out an error code on the main board
- The unit works occasionally but only on the third Wednesday of on months beginning on Thursday
