Carrier 48GS Limit Switch
Limit switches are built because if the warmed air is too cool then you will never get hot air through the ducts. A normal limit switch has a sensor in the heat exchanger that can determine when the heated air is actually warm enough for the main blower to kick in and circulate the air.
Easy warnings of a weakening main limit switch
- The whole system is beginning to erratically often
- The heating and cooling system is unable to start or will not stay running for any significant length if time
