HVAC systems will not operate unless the control board is configured and seated properly. The control board is created to oversee the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors as well as the air circulator all in one unit. Be very careful when choosing a control board due to the many differences between models and types. A matching board is supposed to have a part number that matches the brand and the model of furnace or air handler you have.
