Carrier 42V Control Board
HVAC systems will not run at all without this vital piece of hardware is in place and connected. The control board is constructed to direct the gas valve, the ignition igniter, the flame sensor and the blower all together. The board you choose is supposed to have a part number that matches the brand and the model of your heating and cooling system. Be very careful while choosing a new control board due to differences in HVAC systems.
Red flags of a failing primary control board
- Heat or AC unit is not able to start whatsoever
- The whole system has to be turned off and back on quite often for the system to continue working
- There may be flashing code being shown on the control board
