Carrier 42S Control Board
The Carrier 42S control board is designed to regulate everything including the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors and the blower all together. HVAC systems will not run without the main control board in connected and operational. A matching board will need to be a match with your existing board and be compatible with both the brand and model of the system you have installed. You must be careful when you are choosing a replacement board because of the diversity of brands, models and types of systems.
Key symptoms of a weakening primary control board
- Air conditioning or heating system will not operate well
- Power to the circuit board needs to be reset a lot in order to operate
