The control board is made to control the gas valve, the ignition igniter, most sensors as well as the blower all in one unit. Most systems will not be able to function unless this important circuit board is properly connected to the unit. The board you select will need to be a match with your existing board and be compatible with both the make and model of your heating and cooling system. It is of utmost importance upon choosing a board as a replacement due to variances between brand and air handler types.
What symptoms are present when the primary control board is about to stop working?
- System is not able to work period
- The power to the system has to be turned off and back on repeatedly for it to run correctly
- There may be a numbered error code indicated on the circuit board
