The control board looks to a temperature sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to verify when the defrost cycle should begin.
What symptoms are present when the defrost board is almost dead?
- The system will not run for the fact of the fact that there is too much frost
- Your main control board may show an error number produced by too much frost
- Unit defrost session has not run for quite some time despite that there is a large amount frost that needs to be removed
