Carrier 38MFQ022 Control Board
The control board is made to control everything including the gas valve, the igniter, most sensors as well as the air circulator all at once. Most systems will not run at all lest this board is configured and seated properly. The selected board will have to match part numbers both the brand and specific model of the unit you have installed. You must be sure when you decide to replace your control board due to differences in brands, models and types of systems.
Red flags your control board should be replaced
- The whole system has to be reset quite often for it to run correctly
- There is a flashing error code shown directly somewhere on the circuit board
- Air conditioning or heating system will not start well
