Carrier 38HD Control Board
The control board is made to oversee everything including the gas valve, the igniter, all the various sensors and the blower all at once. Most systems will not operate whatsoever unless the control board is in its proper place and configured for your unit. A control board that you have chosen is supposed to have a part number that matches both the brand and model of HVAC system. Be absolutely sure when you are deciding on a replacement because of the many variances of particular brands and their models.

- Power to the circuit board has to be turned off and back on habitually for the system to continue working
- The furnace or AC cannot initialize well
