Carrier 38CKC060 Defrost Sensor Board
The defrost sensor control board initiates the defrosting phase if necessary, to remove frost build-up that may accumulate. The control board depends on a sensor which is near the condenser somewhere, in order to agree when to initiate the defrosting cycle.
Signs your defrost board is going to die
- The primary control board might issue a particular error code if the defrost board fails
- Most systems will stop functioning for the fact of too much frost
- Defrost mode has not run for quite some time despite that there is a large amount frost on the unit
