Sony VGC-JS430F Video Card
Integrated video cards will never be better than a separate video card, in general. All video cards processes graphics and sends the rendered images to a monitor where it is displayed for you. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated video card market, while AMD is sitting in second place. Dedicated video cards are pretty much required for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Overwatch, Battlefield or Far Cry. Almost all newer desktops will have at least one spot available for a video card to be added to the system. There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board.
Signs to watch for in a failing graphics card
- The monitor shows nothing
- The Sony VGC-JS430F crashes when trying to start up a graphic intensive game
- Nothing seems to show up when starting up
- A driver for the video card fails to install correctly
