Acer Aspire T620 Video Card

There are two types of video cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated graphics are integrated into the motherboard itself, whilst a dedicated card is purchased and installed onto the main board. Dedicated video cards are necessary for high-end games on the desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. Most newer computers should have at least one PCI Express slot available for a video card to be installed. Both an integrated and dedicated video card computes and sends the rendered images to a monitor where you can see the results. Integrated video cards are not as good as a dedicated video card, generally speaking. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second.
