Acer Aspire One S1002P Ram
Random Access Memory, RAM, stores random bits of information that the CPU is currently using for applications. The clock speed of the RAM is dictated by the specs of the motherboard, while the actual storage size is guided by the software. Your laptop cannot run without the necessary RAM properly installed. RAM is considered temporary storage as the data it holds is erased every time your turn the computer off. Due to the fact that RAM is temporary storage for the CPU, it does not hold files like documents or pictures. Instead, it does have a correlation to the speed of your laptop. If you are ever in doubt, just know that it is impossible to have too much RAM!
Major clues your laptop RAM has to be replaced
- Emptiness fills the air as you boot up your laptop
- The OS does not report the correct memory amount
- The screen does not turn on when starting up
- You may get quite a few invalid access errors on your laptop as you use it
