Acer Aspire G500 Video Card
Almost all newer desktops will have at least one PCIe slot open for a graphics card to be installed. There are really only two kinds of graphic cards, integrated and dedicated. Integrated is built into the motherboard, while a dedicated graphics card is an individual piece of hardware that is bought and installed separately. Dedicated video cards are typically a required piece of hardware for any high-end games you play on a desktop like Mass Effect, Grand Theft Auto or Battlefield. All video cards processes graphics and renders images to the monitor where you can see the results. Integrated, or onboard, graphics are almost never as good as a dedicated video card, generally speaking. Currently, nVidia rules the dedicated card market, while AMD is in second.
